It is a lot cheaper and easier than you think to get your home ready for a sale. With a little elbow grease and everyday household products, you can turn a worn out house into a model home and give those buyers every reason to make an offer.

Here are a few simple tips:

1. Spray distilled white vinegar on the tracks of the shower doors and let set for a few hours. Then scrub with an old toothbrush and rinse with hot water. Your shower will sparkle like new.

2. Mix vinegar, water and rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle and use on any chrome, glass or mirrored surface. Wipe with a dry, all cotton towel and follow with a wipe with a paper towel. Your smooth surfaces with shine.

3. Pour baking soda down each of your drains, at least one cup, then follow with a cup of vinegar. Let it bubble like a volcano for a few minutes, then pour hot water down the drain.

4.Scrub tile grout, smooth cook tops and bath tubs with baking soda paste (baking soda and water), then rinse and scrub with water and vinegar, then rinse with water and dry with a cotton towel.
